The Nicholas House Dream Builders Event is an annual fundraiser which helps to raise awareness of and funds for programs and services provided by Nicholas House for homelessness families. Proceeds from the Dream Builders Event, which are typically 90% or more of funds raised, support Nicholas House’s mission to assist families struggling with homelessness, unemployment, poverty, mental illnesses, substance abuse, physical challenges and more.
During Dream Builders 2018, hundreds of volunteers, business leaders, community advocates, and others attended and helped to raise tens of thousands of dollars for homeless families. Funds raised allowed Nicholas House to respond to emergencies and opportunities involving homeless families. Our 2019 theme, Rise Up! Homeless to Home, will address the causes of homelessness and share how Nicholas House is helping families improve their circumstances and achieve self-sufficiency. Funds raised for Dream Builders 2019, will also help support Nicholas House’s After School Enrichment and Summer Camp Programs for homeless children.
The Nicholas House Dream Builders fundraising event will take place from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on June 6, 2019 and will support basic needs, teach skills, inform new choices, and provide opportunities for homeless parents and children. With your help, Nicholas House will continue to foster an environment for homeless families where dreams are valued, pursued and accomplished. You can help. How do I RSVP for Dream Builders?
As the next Dream Builders nears, you can RSVP with a form linked on our main webpage (www.nicholashouse.org). If you want to attend with any guests, make sure that your guests put your name on their RSVP form under “Invited By” so that you will be seated together.
How much is my ticket?
Attending Dream Builders is 100% free! Please come and enjoy a free lunch with us. However, this is a fundraiser event– while you are under no obligation to give, we will be asking for donations at the end of the program.
I want to put together a table to attend Dream Builders. How do I do that?
Contact our Director of Development, Terrisita Terry, at [email protected], with a list of your guests and a table will be reserved for you!
What time should I arrive?
The event will begin promptly at 12 pm, but we recommend that you plan to arrive early since traffic can often be congested near the event site.
Is parking available onsite?
Yes, parking is available at the event. Signs and volunteers will direct you to the parking deck at the rear of the property.
What is the dress code?
We suggest business casual, but more than anything we want you there- come dressed however will be comfortable for you.
