The goal of Nicholas Houses’ Prevention Services is to provide financial assistance, and other services to prevent families from being evicted, losing their homes, or becoming homeless.
Our community-based prevention services offer a comprehensive array of services such as short-term financial assistance to cover rent or rental arrears, mediation with landlords, and help with the process of qualifying for mainstream benefits.
The coronavirus has brought hard times to many families. A job loss or reduction in hours make it extremely difficult to make ends meet and avoid devastating downstream effects like foreclosure or eviction. While the long-term impact is still unknown, Nicholas House can help families navigate these uncertain times and regain their financial footing.
Eligible families can receive financial assistance during the Coronavirus pandemic.
