The average age of a homeless person in Georgia is 9 years old. Imagine being only 9 years old and worrying about where you will sleep at night, if your family will be safe, and where you’ll find your next meal.
At Nicholas House, we recognize that homeless children need support—so we provide youth services programs meeting their unique social, emotional and academic needs. These wrap-around programs provide the tools, stability and guidance they need to succeed.
Nicholas House’s free youth services programs include an after-school program for elementary-school aged children in our emergency shelter, an eight-week summer camp, Camp Nicholas, which includes educational field trips, crafts, and other engaging activities, and more.

We rely on the support of friends like you to help us provide life-changing services for children like Michael, Sacarrie, Zi’ere and their families, empowering them to permanently break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
Costs to serve a child at Nicholas House during the school year include their housing, food, clothing, case management, after-school care, classroom supplies, and more. In the summer, those costs increase as Nicholas House provides a full-time summer camp including educational field trips, recreational activities and other forms of enrichment.
Your one-time or recurring gift can provide vital services to children and parents in Nicholas House programs. Will you make an impact with a gift today?
